Giving Tuesday: Support the Emergency Fund

Nov 30, 2021  08:00 PM  EST

Please consider supporting the Family Emergency Fund for #GivingTuesday. Our goal is to raise $10,000 by November 30th, 2021 to support Philadelphia families.

Since 2001, the National Nurse-Led Care Consortium (NNCC) has provided comprehensive evidence-based home visitation services to families in Philadelphia to improve maternal and child health outcomes. Over the last two decades, NNCC has developed complementary and integrated services based on the conclusive evidence that poverty harms health. In 2016, NNCC established the Philadelphia Nursing-Legal Partnership (NLP) to provide free legal services to Philadelphia Nurse-Family Partnership and Mabel Morris Family Home Visit Program (NFP/MM) participants. In May 2020, NNCC created the Family Emergency Fund to provide critical financial support to families in the form of low-barrier, rapid response grants.

"The best part is having an amazing nurse who loves and cares for my child the way I do. And having a program that provides so much for my child to help with her early learning and development." - Mabel Morris Family Home Visit Participant

Emergency Fund Goals:

  1. Ensure safe and healthy housing
  2. Maintain family stability and ensure children's safety
  3. Support education and health care access

Recognizing the rapidly evolving public health consequences of the delta variant, we have made the decision to postpone our annual (Un)Gala celebration until 2022. As soon as we confirm plans for rescheduled celebration, we will reach back out. Thank you all for celebrating and supporting the clients we serve.
