Fall 2023 Public Health Nursing Open House

Are you interested in a career in community nursing? Please join the National Nurse-Led Care Consortium's Philadelphia Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) and Mabel Morris Family Home Visit Program on Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM for our Public Health Nursing Open House. This event takes place at NNCC's headquarters at 4601 Market Street and is open to current and future nurses.

Join us for presentations and light refreshments as you learn about career opportunities for RNs interested in community nursing and network with current public health nurses and community organizations. Registration for this event is encouraged, but not required.

 

What to Expect
  • Learn about working with an evidence-based model to form long-term relationships with families. 
  • Learn about our programs' focus on social determinants of health and social justice to improve parental and child health.
  • Network with other current or future nurses interested in serving the Philadelphia community.
  • Information on career opportunities in our programs with a flexible schedule, great benefits, and a supportive team.

  • ADA accessible parking available at the "Provident ADA Parking Lot," with entrance on 46th Street. Enter through PHMC Entrance and ask security for elevator to 1st Floor, Multipurpose Room 1127.

Nurse-Family Partnership is a national, evidence-based community health program. The program's outcomes include long-term family improvements in health, education, and economic self-sufficiency. Click here to see open positions for NFP. The Mabel Morris Family Home Visit Program is a free, voluntary program for low-income parents in Philadelphia, who are raising children under five years of age. Through partnering with families, specialty trained registered nurses come alongside parents to help their children develop optimally during the crucial early years of life.
