Patient Engagement

The Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) strives to help individuals make informed healthcare decisions and improve healthcare delivery and outcomes by producing and promoting evidence-based information coming from research guided by patients, care givers, and the broader healthcare community.

PCORI Study Practitioner Survey

NNCC is conducting a national survey to elevate the impact of COVID on NP provided office-based SUD. We want to hear from NPs, an incentive for your time is offered.

The PCORI project aims to engage in participatory research related to the health needs of individuals with substance use disorders specifically in three main areas:

  1. Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)
  2. Persistent Pain
  3. Infectious Disease

Using a webinar platform and learning collaborative format, the National Nurse-Led Care Consortium will provide ten outreach and training opportunities for the aforementioned topic areas over the course of two years. Additionally, the development of three position papers related to the best practices and opportunities in MAT, persistent pain, and infectious disease are to be included in the outcomes of the project. A steering committee of patient representatives, nurse researchers, and nurse providers are to assist in guidance of the project and are convened on a regular basis.
