The COVID-19 pandemic has upended virtually every facet of life. By necessity, healthcare organizations have limited or restricted in-person care to reduce the transmission of SARS-CoV-2. Unfortunately, this has kept many consumers from accessing timely healthcare. Join us to hear how clients enrolled in two Philadelphia home visiting programs, Philadelphia Nurse-Family Partnership and the Mabel Morris Family Home Visit Program, have navigated challenges to access health care during the pandemic. During this panel discussion, clients and nurse home visitors will share their experiences of health care access and provision during the pandemic and offer a vision of how we can protect health care access during future pandemics and other systemic disruptions.
Audience: Local and national health care providers and staff, particularly in nursing, public health, maternal-child health, home visitors, administrators (hospitals, clinics, etc.), obstetrics-gynecology, pediatrics.
