This session discussed the lead role that nurses may play in caring for persons with substance use disorders, across the continuum from active use to sustained recovery. An overview of the nationally recognized, evidence-based care delivery model: the Nurse Care Manager Model of Office Based Addiction Treatment will be provided, including patient-centered adaptions that have been implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic to increase access to care and safe treatment.
