Community-Led Data Collection in LGBTQ+ Public Health: Perspectives on COVID-19 Vaccine Hesitancy

In this session, we heard from Mardi Moore, Executive Director of Out Boulder County, a community-driven organization in Colorado working to educate, advocate and provide services, programs, and support for LGBTQ+ communities, and Christina Graham Brasavage, Data & Evaluation Manager from the Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center in Pennsylvania's Lehigh Valley. Mardi and Christina discussed their community-led statewide and regional studies on vaccine hesitancy among the LGBTQ+ community. We also explored barriers that lead to vaccine hesitancy and learned about strategies that organizations can put into practice to support inclusion and health equity.
