Session 2: Adopting All-Hazards Competencies for Health Center Preparedness

In this session, we built on the knowledge gained from session one to delve into the essential process of assessing health center-specific resource vulnerabilities and how the 5 competencies help mitigate them. Through engaging case studies and scenarios, we explored how staff can apply the basic emergency management skills gained from competency achievement to support effective health center response. We also discussed how resilience and readiness can be incorporated into a health center’s culture.

Webinar Outcomes

Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to:
- Demonstrate an ability to assess health center-specific resource vulnerabilities, enabling them to identify potential gaps in preparedness and resilience.
- Identify how staff achievement of the All-Hazards Competencies can meet their respective health centers' unique preparedness needs.
- Name some ways to help foster a culture of resilience and readiness to respond effectively to diverse hazards and challenges.
