Safeguarding Home Environments: Addressing Environmental Risks for Aging and Disabled Populations in Public Housing

How can your health center help aging in place? Environmental risks, such as poor housing conditions and safety hazards, significantly impact the health and quality of life of aging and disabled individuals living in public housing.

Designed for health center clinicians, staff, and others working with residents of public housing, this 60-minute webinar provided practical insights and collaborative strategies to help health centers and community organizations improve housing conditions for vulnerable populations. Participants learned about common environmental risks, strategies for enhancing home safety, and the importance of partnerships between health centers, housing authorities, and other community stakeholders.
