Join the National Nurse-Led Care Consortium (NNCC) and the National Center for Health in Public Housing (NCHPH) as they present a two-part webinar series focused on addressing the impact of community violence—particularly in public housing—on chronic stress and overall health outcomes.
This series is designed for health center staff and clinicians to explore how community violence affects both patients and care teams, and to provide strategies for addressing these challenges through trauma-informed care and collaboration with community organizations. Participants will gain practical tools to mitigate the effects of violence, enhance patient care, and improve the health and well-being of residents in affected communities.
By recognizing and addressing these critical factors, health centers can play a pivotal role in advancing health equity and fostering safer, healthier communities. The session will focus on integrating violence prevention into clinical practice, and support the Health Center Excellence Framework in the areas of Access & Affordability, Patient Experience, and Population Health & Health Equity.
