About the Learning Collaborative
Join the National Nurse-Led Care Consortium for a webinar designed for health centers, other healthcare professionals, community-based organizations, and public health advocates with actionable strategies to address these challenges. Participants will learn about innovative, culturally competent programs that leverage patient navigators, men’s groups, and health centers to improve colorectal cancer screening rates and advance equity in men’s health. Through a focus on community engagement and tailored interventions, the session will emphasize how health centers can empower their communities, foster trust, and improve outcomes.
Learning Outcomes:
As a result of this training, participants will be able to:
- Identify the barriers to colorectal cancer screening for residents of public housing, with a specific focus on men.
- Understand how to develop effective, culturally competent programs that increase screening rates in underserved communities.
- Develop effective community engagement strategies to increase colorectal screenings at health center settings based on fostering trust and patient engagement.
