On May 17, NNCC hosted the First Annual Philly SPROUT Summit, a full-day training focused on strengthening cross-sector collaboration to support the infant and early childhood mental health (IECMH) workforce. The event brought together professionals in early childhood education, child welfare, early intervention, home visiting, mental and behavioral health, and related sectors to share resources, strengthen partnerships, and learn together about best practices for supporting families.
The Summit featured a keynote presentation from Dr. Brenda Jones Harden, Ruth Harris Ottman Professor of Child and Family Welfare at the Columbia University School of Social Work, which addressed promoting infant and early childhood mental health through an early childhood system of care. The day also included an interdisciplinary panel discussion aimed at strengthening collaboration across the IECMH workforce.
