Funding Opportunity: Providing Effective Pain Treatments to FQHC Patients

Funding opportunity information session: Federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) are invited to participate in a research study evaluating the efficacy of treatments for persistent pain. Participating FQHCs will receive high quality interventions and be compensated for time and travel for each group visit, and receive gift cards for completing each assessment. Sites will be provided with financial support for their integrated behavioral health staff’s time, a stipend for logistical/administrative support, budgetary coverage for the research assistant to manage consenting and assessments. Training and ongoing consultation will be provided by the research team.

Requirements:

  • Statement of interest by August 27: interested sites would be: 1. An FQHC, 2. Have integrated behavioral health staff on-site, 3. Capable of running on-site pain groups; 4. Able to recruit a minimum of 60 individuals of pain to attend the program within 3 years
  • A Memorandum of Agreement by September 14
  • Description of patient panel demographics, number of primary care provider types (e.g. RN, MD, DO, PA), identified and named site contact person, and named behavioral health personnel on staff
