About the Training

Join the National Nurse-Led Care Consortium’s three-part webinar series designed for health center staff, clinicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals. This series highlights the critical role of Nurse Practitioners (NPs) in reducing health disparities, managing chronic conditions, and expanding access to care in health centers and safety-net settings.

Speakers, Jaclyn Bandell, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, CARN-AP and Summer Hettinger, FNP-C from Appalachian Mountain Health will share strategies for optimizing NPs in primary care teams to address high rates of chronic disease in underserved populations. With advanced training, NPs deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care, filling vital gaps in medically underserved areas. Jennifer Calohan, RN, TQMP, SOLC, LSSBB of Curis Consulting will discuss leveraging NPs in patient-centered care teams and discuss programmatic structures for improving access.

Despite their skills, NPs are often underutilized. This series provides best practices for integrating NPs effectively into care teams, enabling timely interventions, personalized care plans, and ongoing monitoring to improve chronic disease outcomes. Learn how leveraging NPs can enhance hypertension control, reduce heart disease and stroke risks, and improve overall patient health. Empower your team to expand access, improve patient outcomes, and advance health equity through NP-led care.

Registration is open.
